A jury has faulted a Roswell obstetrician and nurse for a woman’s death.
The panel in Albuquerque has returned a $3 million verdict against Eric Peterson.
The Albuquerque Journal reports the jury has found Peterson 70 percent at fault, and a ICU nurse Kemischa Anderson 30 percent.
Attorneys representing the family of Sarahy Fierro say her blood pressure reached as high as 222/115 during the delivery of her third child.
The 28-year-old Fierro gave birth, but her blood pressure remained dangerously high.
She had a stroke and never regained consciousness.
