The Roswell-Chaves County Extraterritorial Zoning Commission has approved a plan that could see a medical marijuana farm occupy the former Nature’s Dairy location. The Roswell Daily Record reports that a public meeting dealing with the matter lasted well into last night. The approval doesn’t ensure that the pot farm will be built at the site. But, it does help Pecos Valley Pharmaceuticals chances to receive a license from the New Mexico Department of Health to grow medical marijuana. According to an official with the pharmaceutical firm the proposed facility would grow up to nearly 500 marijuana plants indoors. There would be discrete signage and tight security.
