Authorities have identified the man who Ruidoso Police killed Sunday.
However, they have not released any information as to why officers drew their guns.
State police say officers shot 27-year-old Timothy Jones after responding to an alleged domestic disturbance.
They claim during the investigation, two officers fired their weapons and Jones died at the scene.
Police have yet to say why they fired at him or whether or not he posed any threat.
The officers remain on standard administrative leave, and the shooting remains under investigation.
