The state vet board says it has enough evidence to suspend or revoke a Roswell veterinarian’s license.
The Roswell Animal Shelter has received criticism for months with rescue organizations and other people expressing concern over the treatment of animals.
KOAT-TV reports the state has investigated dozens of complaints against the vet in charge of caring for the shelter’s dogs and cats. The board has released a “notice of contemplated action.”
It has informed Leandro Gutierrez that it the allegations include animal cruelty, failure to examine and care for animals, and failing to medicate them.
Additionally, the board has received complaints of “improper supervision of employees” and “improper cleanliness” where the animals stayed.
The board says Gutierrez has until today to request a hearing. If he does not, then the board intends to take action.
