Roswell’s city council has narrowly approved an outdoor smoking law.
This new law allows The Liberty and other private clubs in the city to host as many as four outdoor smoking events per month.
The council has amended this ordinance three times before finally adopting it.
The amendments increase the distance between smoking areas and entrances to private clubs. That has now changed from 10 feet to 15.
The changes also prohibit private club employees from serving food and drink in designated outdoor smoking areas.
The council has approved the law following two hours of debate.
