A party official says state Republicans have their eyes on four seats in the senate for this year’s election.
The Roswell Daily Record reports state party chairwoman Debbie Maestas claiming that Republican governor and majorities in both chambers would create policy opportunities.
Maestas has made this claim during a meeting of the Chaves County Republican Women.
She says this election outcome would give Republicans two years to pass legislation.
None of the seats she has mentioned correspond to local districts.
