FLETC workers in Artesia end strike

Employees at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia have ended their strike.

A union organizer tells the Roswell Daily Record that the work stoppage has gained very little.

Striking employees have reduced union job protections following the approval of a collective bargaining agreement last week.

Employees went on strike in June after their union failed to reach a deal with a new maintenance contractor at the facility.

Because the company hired workers during the strike, these employees may not have the ability to return to their jobs.
