Woman receives seven years in prison over Finch’s death

The woman involved in the death of Dominik Finch has received seven years in prison.

Court has also sentenced 37-year-old Jennifer Bevers to two years of probation.

Bevers has pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter.

The 19-year-old Finch died in a hospital after a shooting outside his home on Cahoon Avenue last year.

He attended University High School and worked as a landscaper.

The other person charged in the shooting has a jury trial in October.

Authorities have charged 40-year-old Steven Johnson with capital murder, among other things.
