City Awards Contract for Civic Center Expansion

THE ROSWELL CITY COUNCIL UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED A BID LAST NIGHT TO EXPAND THE CONVENTION AND CIVIC CENTER. THE CITY WILL PAY ALBUQUERQUE-BASED HB CONSTRUCTION MORE THAN 6-POINT 3-MILLION DOLLARS TO EXPAND THE CIVIC CENTER BY 15-THOUSAND SQUARE FEET. WORK ON THE PROJECT IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN IN OCTOBER. HB CONSTRUCTION SAYS THEY CAN HAVE IT DONE BY JULY OF NEXT YEAR.
