Accused Texico Dairy Killer Ordered Held With No Bond

An employee of a dairy farm near Texico has been denied bond in a homicide case. A news release from Curry County DA Andrea Reeb says 32 year-old Jose Flores-Espana will remain in jail with no bvond because a judge determined he could be a flight risk if he were allowed to be free during the court process. The statement also said the judge found that Flores-Espana could also have the potential of committing a violent crime against another person if he were out. Flores-Espana was an employee of the Texico Dairy on June 14th when the shooting took place. 23 year-old Mairon Franco Rodriguez was killed. Flores has told investigators that he acted in self defense, but authoritiues said that was not consistent with what several witnesses reported.
