Carlsbad Teenager Confessed To Store Holdup

A Carlsbad teenager has reportedly confessed to holding up a convenience store clerk with a high powered rifle. Last week, polcie say they were called to Allsup’s on Pierce Street. The store clerk told officers that a young boy came into the store carrying what he described as an automatic weapon. The boy had a bandanna over his face when he pointed the gun and demanded money. The clerk also said he saw a red SUV flee the scene. Later, officers discovered a red SUV near the scene. The son of the owner of that vehicle, a 14 year-old boy, reportedly confessed to the robbery, telling officers that he hid the $74 that he got nearby. The boy’s name is not being released.
