National Solar Observatory To Reopen Tuesday

The National Solar Observatory in Sunsport reopened yesterday after a strange evacuation that, staff has, so far, shed little light on. The facility has been closed since September 6th and Director and New Mexico State University Professor of Astronomy RT James McAteer told the CUrrent Argus that they will operate with as much normalcy as possible. However, even the employees have not been told what caused authorities to evacuate the observatory overlooking the Tularosa Basin. However, a staff meeting is likely today, which McAteer says will be followed by a news conference sometime this week.
