LAST MONTH, NEW MEXICO’S SEASONALLY ADJUSTED UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FELL BY ANOTHER TENTH OF A POINT TO 4-POINT 6-PERCENT. A YEAR AGO, THE NUMBER WAS AN EVEN SIX PERCENT. NON AGRICULTURAL JOBS GREW BY 16-THOUSAND YEAR OVER YEAR…WHILE THE PUBLIC SECTOR SHED 100 JOBS DURING THE SAME PERIOD. PRIVATE SERVICE-PROVIDING INDUSTRIES GREW BY 2-POINT 2-PERCENT…WHILE GOODS-PRODUCING INDUSTRIES GREW BY 3-POINT 9-PERCENT.
