36-YEAR-OLD RUBEN RUBALCAVA OF, DUNEDIN, FLORIDA, PLED GUILTY TO METHAMPHETAMINE TRAFFICKING AND CONSPIRACY TO TRANSPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS CHARGES. PROSECUTORS SAY RUBALCAVA CONSPIRED WITH AN EL PASO MAN TO TRANSPORT THREE ILLEGAL ALIENS INTO THE US. HE WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE APPROACHED FEDERAL AGENTS IN A DONA ANA COUNTY PARKING LOT CLAIMING THE ILLEGALS WERE HIS FRIENDS. DURING A SEARCH, AGENTS ALSO FOUND MORE THAN 400 GRAMS OF METH IN RUBALCAVA’S BACKPACK. UNDER THE TERMS OF HIS PLEA DEAL, RUBALCAVA FACES BETWEEN 5 AND 40 YEARS IN PRISON.
