RPD Investigators are asking for the public’s help in providing any information related to the homicide of a local man whose body was found March 16 at the city’s southern edge. The body of Robert Francis Sorbo Jr., 31, who had been shot, was discovered by a Chaves County Sheriff’s Office deputy around 6:45 p.m. just south of Roswell Air Center. Sorbo was found lying on the ground near Y O Road, some distance east from Old Y O Crossing Road. The Roswell Police Department assumed the investigation since the body was located within city limits just outside the air center’s perimeter fencing.
