Roswell girl, 14, charged with burning down her home

Police report the booking of a 14-year-old Roswell girl for burning down her home.

Authorities believe she started the fire Wednesday after arguing with her stepmother.

Police say they fought over her skipping school.

The fire apparently erupted after the stepmother and her two sons went outside.

Fire investigators found a bottle of charcoal lighter fluid in the backyard. They see it as an accelerant.

Someone at the scene went to a hospital for possible smoke inhalation.

Authorities brought the blaze under control in a half-hour, but they call the home a total loss.
