State Auditor to Host Panel Discussion with IT Experts

THE NEW MEXICO TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL AND STATE AUDITOR TIM KELLER ARE PRESENTING A PANEL DISCUSSION TOMORROW MORNING IN ALBUQUERQUE ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF OUT OF STATE SPENDING. A PANEL OF EXPERTS WILL DISCUSS A RECENT STATE AUDITOR’S REPORT THAT SHOWS THE I-T INDUSTRY HAS THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS THAT ARE AWARDED TO OUT OF STATE FIRMS. IN 2016, 40-MILLION DOLLARS OUT OF 48-MILLION DOLLARS IN I-T SERVICE CONTRACTS WENT TO COMPANIES BASED OUTSIDE OF NEW MEXICO.
