20-YEAR-OLD RAMON JULIAN GRADO JUNIOR — WANTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES, INCLUDING AGGRAVATED BATTERY ON A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER, INTERFERENCE WITH COMMUNICATIONS. INVESTIGATORS SAY GRADO BIT, PUNCHED AND CHOKED HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND ON AUGUST 29th IN EAST ROSWELL. THEY SAY HE ALSO TOOK THE WOMAN’S PHONE. GRADO IS 5-FEET 7-INCHES TALL AND WEIGHS ABOUT 130 POUNDS. Police Ask For Information On Artesia Shooting

Meanwhile, police in ARtesia continue investigating a deadly shooting near 4th and Logan. It happened early Saturday morning after dispatchers received 18 public reports of gunshots being fired in the area. When officers arrived, the found two men wounded. One of the victims, 36 year-old Fabian Ochoa, later died at a local hospital. Polcie have not released the identity of the second man, but say he is expected to survive. ANyone with information about the case is asked to call Artesia Police at 575-746-5000.

Carlsbad Woman Formally Charged With Murder

A Carlsbad woman is now formally charged with second degree murder. A statement from the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office says Ana U. Rodriguez is being held in the Eddy County Jail with no bond. Early Friday, deputies responded to a home in the 1600 block of Burgujndy Avenue for the report of a man unconscious. Once there, they found 45 year-old Alberto Parraz – dead of a gunshot wound. Through the investigation, deputies later issued a search warrant on several people. After numerous interviews, they arrested Rodriguez. However, inevstigators are not saying what led up to the shooting or how the two knew each other. ANyone with information on the case is asked to call the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.
