Several Carlsbad residents have been arrested for drug trafficking crimes in Eddy County. Agents with the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force conducted operations centered around a local commercial building located at 1410 N. Canal. Sheriff Mark Cage advised that the overall investigation led to several search warrants being executed at various locations and over a half pound of methamphetamine was seized along with several firearms. Additional drug and weapons charges against those involved will be filed at a later date.
