An arrest warrant was issued Sunday (June 27) for a Roswell man whom Roswell Police Department investigators have identified as the person believed to be responsible for the death of a local woman who was shot late Saturday night (June 26).
RPD is seeking to locate Christopher Nathan Beltran, 25. Beltran is charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and felon in possession of a firearm.
The criminal charges relate to the fatal shooting of Domonique Gonzales, 34, who was found deceased outside the front door to a residence when RPD officers arrived at the 400 block of East Forest Street around 10:40 p.m. in response to a 911 call reporting the shooting.
Beltran is believed to be Gonzales’ ex-boyfriend. The investigation indicates Beltran may have been upset about Gonzales possibly being in a relationship with someone else.
