The Carlsbad City COuncil as approved its own spending of 164 million dollars for future public works projects. The Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan, or ICIP, is a working list of projects in Carlsbad. One new project added to the list before approval was the creation of a new recreation area at 6-Mile Dam south of Carlsbad.
