An 18-year-old male is charged with aggravated battery for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old girl in the leg Sunday night (Aug. 8) during a drive-by shooting in the 70 block of East Byrne Street in south Roswell.
Roswell Police are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that could potentially help locate the suspect, Martin Soltero. The RPD investigation determined Soltero was a passenger in the car that drove by the home where the victim and others were outside in front of the residence. Soltero is accused of firing a gunshot that struck the victim, who was later transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The person believed to have been driving the car at the time the shot was fired, Juan Francisco Herrera, 17, was arrested without incident Monday morning.
