The latest health department statistics show that just 33 percent of residents in Eddy County are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19. 40 percent of people in Eddy County have had at least one dose. That’s as of August 30th. Statewide, New Mexico reported a total of just over 231-thousand cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic last year, which is an increase of three percent in just one week. Statewide, the vaccine numbers are at 70 percent with at least one dose, and 61 percent who are fully vaccinated.
