West Mescalero Road will be closed to thru traffic between North Pennsylvania Avenue and North Washington Avenue beginning Thursday morning (Sept. 9) to allow a contractor to
insert water-control valves in a water main to be followed by City of Roswell Water Maintenance and Transmission crews replacing a failed section of the aging water main. The work is expected to take two to three weeks.
Residents of the 2900 blocks of North Lea Avenue and North Kentucky Avenue, as well as adjacent sections of Vista Parkway and Vista Parkway Circle, will access the neighborhood from the west using Mescalero. Residents of the 300 block of West Mescalero will access their block from the east.
Water will continue to be available to city water customers in the area during the project, although water pressure may fluctuate during this work.
