Good news for the city of Roswell, as Joe Bauman Stadium has been chosen to be the New Mexico site for Major League Baseball’s list of baseball road trip locations. The stadium in southern Roswell is located on East Poe Street. It’s named for the late minor-league slugger who played there and hit 72 home runes for the Roswell Rockets in 1954. That number set a professional baseball single-season record that stood for decades. Today, Joe Bauman Stadium is home to the minor-league Roswell Invaders.
