A Carlsbad man is identified as the victim of a deadly crash in West Texas. It happened Friday on US 62, about four miles northeast of the town of Ropesville, Texas. Authorities say 63 year old Scot Douglas Bendixsen was the passenger in a car that was struck by a pickup truck that crossed the center line. The two drivers both suffered non-life threatening injuries, but Bendixsen died of his injuries at a hospital. The crash happened just after 10pm Friday night in Hockley County, Texas.
