The superintendent of Schools in Dexter has resigned after less than a year in the position. Miles Mitchell, who joined Dexter Consolidated School District as superintendent last July, notified the school board of his decision on Monday. In his resignation letter, Mitchell said his family needs require him to move to Albuquerque. Mitchell’s last day will be June 30th. School board vice president Andrea McGarrah said she was disappointed in the development, but respected Mitchell’s decision. No word yet on who will take over in the interim capacity.
