Eddy County leaders have approved 6 million dollars in spending for construction projects. Public Works Director Jason Burns told commissioners that the money was originally set to be used for 2023 road repairs. He requested the funding to go ahead and get started on the West Loop Road project, which is an 11-million dollar total project.
Meanwhile, commissioners also shifted 3.5 million dollars from the general use fund – for chip sealing work on roads.
