— The City of Roswell will host a Tourism Talk on Tuesday, Aug. 9, with the goal of providing helpful information to local lodging establishment operators who must submit each month the lodgers’ tax and convention center fees they collect from their customers. The meeting will be in the large conference room at city hall from noon to 1 p.m.
While this Tourism Talk is focused on the submission process to the city of these tax and fee revenues that are collected as part of customer bills at hotels, motels, short-term rentals and other lodging businesses, the meeting is open to anyone. The city hopes to hold a Tourism Talk each month to discuss a variety of tourism-related topics. The tentative plan is to have these meetings the second Tuesday of each month.
