Artesia Man Arrested And Charged For May Deadly Crash

An Artesia man is now facing formal criminal charges for the death of a woman in a car crash. Authorities claim George Robert Cosper caused the crash on US 82 near Sandweed on May 5th. Reports indicate Cosper was driving recklessly when he rear ended another car containing Ryan and Meslissa Craddock. Meslissa Craddock died of her injuries. Cosper was arrested last week, according to jail records. He was then released on his own recognizance and was ordered to return for a preliminary court hearing on January 3rd.
