There appears to be a new challenger working to represent New Mexico in the US Senate, but she’s no stranger to politics. Nella Domenici, the daughter of the last Republican to represent our state, has filed a statement of organization with the federal election commission. Her father, Pete Dominici,served as the US Senator from our region from 1973 to 2009, serving six terms. The filing by Nella Dominici allows her to begin raising and spending money on a campaign. Incumbent Senator Mark Henrich is a Democrat and is currently serving his third term.
