New details in an officer involved shooting over the weekend in Artesia. Two Artesia officers were sent to the alley behind 1800 West Centre Avenue. A statement from state police, who have taken over the investigation, says a domestic fight had broken out and one person had fled down the alleyway. The officers both said they believed the man pulled a gun from his waistband. The unnamed man was shot by at least one of the officers and is now recovering at a hospital.
