Carlsbad Police are investigating an infant’s death after the child had been reported as missing. Both Carlsbad PD and the Eddy County Sheriff are assisting after the child’s body was discovered along State Road 137 on September 6th. The remains were later confirmed to be that of a human infant. The sheriff’s office says the case does not involve an abduction and no suspects are currently at large. Anyone with information is urged to call your local police agency.
