Man And Woman Rescued From Roswell House Fire

Roswell firefighters rescued two people from a burning house Saturday morning (Sept. 21) in east Roswell. A 60-year-old man and 61-year-old-woman were found inside the house by Roswell Fire Department firefighters conducting a search upon arrival at the fire in the 1100 block of East Walnut Street around 8:30 a.m. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and then transferred to another hospital elsewhere for further treatment.

The search for victims was carried out as firefighters were battling the blaze that resulted in significant fire and smoke damage to the interior of the house. Firefighters were on scene at the fire for about three hours.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and the fire remains under investigation by the RFD Fire Marshal’s Office.
