The Roswell Police Department is investigating a Monday night (Oct. 21) shooting that resulted in the death of a 46-year-old local man. The shooting occurred at or near the intersection of East Third Street and Orchard Avenue in east Roswell around 10:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive victim lying in the street. He had suffered what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
