The State of New Mexico, in coordination with local and county partners, will be offering additional right-of-way debris removal for residents of Chaves County who were impacted by the flooding that occurred in October. Residents can place their flood debris curbside for pickup starting Feb. 9 through Feb. 28.
Residents are asked to separate debris into the following categories: Electronics, large appliances, vegetative debris, and construction debris.
Curbside debris must be free of overhead obstructions, maintain an 8’ clear radius surrounding the debris, and should not obstruct right-of-ways.
Residents do not need to call to schedule the debris removal. Removal will begin in the two quadrants north of U.S. 380 and move south into Midway and Dexter.
