Salvation Army Continues Relief Work In Ruidoso

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) has been on the ground in Ruidoso since July 9 providing emotional and spiritual care and aiding in the distribution of meals and many other necessities in the aftermath of flooding in the Roswell area.

In partnership with the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army provided 14,755 meals during feeding operations, delivering daily lunches and dinners to displaced survivors housed in local hotels. This collaborative effort concluded earlier this week.

In addition to providing meals, EDS distributed essential supplies to the community and offered short-term financial assistance with $27,275 in Walmart gift cards.

The donation management operation that demobilized last week distributed in-kind donations valued at nearly $650,000 to individuals and families affected by the disaster.
