The city of Artesia says the Grand Street project is now complete and open in both directions. For this project, the city replaced an old water line under the road. The old pipe had been leaking, which had impacted many homes in the area. Replacing the pipe will eliminate those leaks and also improve water pressure and reliability to homes in the area, according to the city. The city also says the project was completed about a three weeks ahead of schedule.
