We are leaerning that a sergeant with the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office was arrested this past weekend and charged with drunk driving. Court documents show Simranjit Khurana was pulled over for speeding and for failing to maintain a single lane in Carlsbad ay about 2am on Saturday. The officers reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol from inside Khurana’s pickup truck. He reportedly admitted that he had been drinking at a party at at a local bar. The report says Khurana refused to take the breathlyzer test.
