Criminal charges have been filed in a 2021 murder case out of Roswell. RPD says 22 year old Miguel Angel Ramirez-Gallegos is also charged with tampering with evidence for disposing of the gun he is accused of using to kill 18 year old David Gonzales on December 26th, 2021. The killing happened in the parking lot of the Saddle Creek Apartments in the 1900 block of South Sunset Avenue in southwest Roswell. A second victim, Ramirez-Gallegos’s girlfriend, was also wounded in the hand and sought treatment at a local hospital. RPD says the case stemmed from drug-related criminal activity. Ramirez-Gallegos is already in federal custody for an unrelated case.
