The City of Roswell’s 2021 virtual public forum series will wrap up this month by focusing on Wards 1 and 2, although citizens from throughout the city are encouraged to watch and participate. (A ward map can be found at roswell-
nm.gov/544/City-Council.)
The forum will be posted on the city’s Facebook page Thursday, Oct. 21, at 5:30 p.m. The forums were designed to help keep Roswell’s citizens and their city administration connected and able to stay informed about and discuss topics important to the community.
This month’s forum will be prerecorded, but citizens can still participate by submitting questions by Tuesday, Oct. 19, at surveymonkey.com/r/PublicForumOct21. Some forums have covered specific topics while others are open discussions focused on a particular ward or wards of the city. Each forum features appropriate experts from the various city departments or members of City Council (Ward 1 councilors are Juan Oropesa and Jason Roebuck; Ward 2 councilors are Margaret Kennard and Jason Perry.).
A virtual public forum about Community Development was originally scheduled for November. That forum has been postponed until early next year when it will kick off the
city’s 2022 public forum series.
