NMDOT Begins Greene Street Bridge Repairs In Calrsbad On Oct. 1

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Two will begin bridge repairs on the westbound lanes of the Greene Street Bridge (U.S. 62/180) in Carlsbad on Oct. 1, 2022. Construction will consist of bearing and pier cap replacement, concrete, and joint repairs. The approximate cost is $1 million with an estimated completion of 6 months, weather permitting. Traffic control will remain in place for the duration of the repairs with the westbound lanes remaining closed. Commercial motor vehicles are not allowed on this portion of the bridge and are being detoured to NM 200 (George Shoup Relief Route).
