Eddy County leaders are working to get first responders to your doorstep quicker, if you ever need them. The county is planning to use about 470-thousand dollars to upgrade it’s emergency alert system, in hopes of creating a faster response time for emergency units. The money was left over from a previous upgrade to the radio communications systen two years ago.
