One person has died and four others were injured Thursday in a car crash near Carlsbad. Authorities said crews responded to Porter Road and Carrasco Road just before 11am. The roadway was shutdown for several hours to investigate. The name of the person who died has not yet been released by authorities, but we’re told three people were taken by ground ambulance to Carlsbad Medical Center for injuries and one other person was flown from the scene to a hospital elsewhere. No other details are known.
