A deadly crash on Eddy County. It happened on Saturday when state police responded to West Main and Centennial Avenue in Artesia. The intitial investigation shows a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 19 year old Pete Devon Lara Hernandez was headed west on Main Street at a high rate of speed. The pickup left the roadway and struck a cinder block fence. Hernandez was thrown out of the pickup and sustained fatal injuries.
