Eighteen people were arrested in Eddy County over the weekend for drug related crimes. According to a post on the sheriff’s Facebook page, agents with the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force conducted numerous narcotics investigations leading to the arrests of all of the individuals from June 9th theough the 11th. The task force teamed up with the Eddy COunty SHeriff’s Office, Artesia and Carlsbad Polcie, and the BLM to conduct the roundup. Most of the individuals are being held for eithe rpossession or trafficking in the powerful opiate painkiller fentanyl or cocaine.
