Federal Grant Awarded For Air Center Hangar Expansion

The City of Roswell has been awarded a $2.8 million federal grant to expand the hangar used by an aviation business at the Roswell Air Center, allowing the business to grow in its capabilities and employ a greater number of people.

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced Thursday (Sept. 30) the CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant being awarded by the department’s Economic Development
Administration. The expansion will occur in the hangar used by aircraft maintenance company CAVU Aerospace, which anticipates the project will allow it to create 45 new jobs at its Roswell Air Center facility.
