Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage reports a murder in the 100 block of East Cottonwood. Deputies had been sent to that location for a shooting on Wednesday, around 2:30 in the morning. When they arrived, they found 37 year-old Tyler Allen Grantham, who later died of his injuries. Sheriff Cage says detectives were able to identify Nathan Garrison as the suspect through their investigation. Garrison was found at a home in the 3500 block of Quay Avenue, where he surrendered without incident. He’s now charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
