Unoffial results are in, and it appears Roswell Mayor Dennis Kintigh has lost his bid for re-election by a very slim margin. In the unofficial results, Timothy Jennings has received 2420 votes to DKintigh’s 2363. Guy Malone and Eva Tellez finished a distant 3rd and 4th. In the ROswell ward 1 seat, Cristina Arnold has defeated James Edwards 56 to 44 percent. In the Ward 2 race, Juliana Halvorson fended off two challengers in Margaret Rogers-Kennard and Joseph Horn. In Ward 3, Edward Heldenbrand defeated Judy Stubbs. In Ward 4, Robert Corn has defeated four challengers.
In Artesia, George Mullen has easily defeated Jeremy Kern for the District 2 council seat. Wade Nelson won the District 3 seat and Richard Townley easily won the District 4 seat. IN the Artesia mayor’s race, Jonathan Henry has fended off four challengers, with 45 percent of the vote.
In Lovington races, Howard Roberts won the city council district 3 seat, which was the only race there that was contested.
