Fire crews have been working since Thursday to control a fire that was started initially as a controlled burn. The flames were burning near the Pecos River. We’re told that the fire was started as a contorlled burn by BLM workers. At this point, we know of no structures that have burned. CHaves County Deputies were also helping with notifications.
